Cox Diesel Outboard Successfully Passes EPA Testing SHOREHAM-BY-SEA, UK – Cox Powertrain has today announced that its 300hp diesel outboard motor - CXO300 - has successfully achieved EPA Tier 3 approval for commercial and recreational applications. As the CXO300 is a new design built for purpose, Cox has had to work with the EPA to go through a rigorous testing process for an OEM engine.

Cox Powertrain is pleased to announce the start of production of the CXO30, its purpose-designed 300hp diesel outboard engine. After several years of intensive development and testing this represents a major milestone for Cox as well as a defining moment for the marine industry.
